The Altar is the central focus of our worship space. It is a poignant reminder of the table around which Jesus and his disciples gathered in an atmosphere of great intimacy to share their Last Supper. At that table, Jesus established the ritual sharing of bread and wine that we reproduce as the symbolic meal of the Holy Communion.
Members of the Altar Guild change and clean the altar frontals and linens, clean and polish the Communion vessels, arrange the altar floral displays, and prepare the bread and wine for Holy Eucharist.
St. Bart’s Altar Guild is 100% green and self sustaining! Funds are entirely provided for through the Altar Guild’s refundables recycling program. Your donation of recyclable cans, bottles and tetrapacks may be left in the bin near the main entrance, and will be warmly appreciated.
